Beauty | Individual Eyelash Extension

have always wanted to try individual eyelash extensions, but never have. With my wedding at the end of January I thought this would be a good time to give it a try.

Individual eyelash extensions is a process of adding longer and thicker individual lashes on to you existing lashes. A beautician uses a type of glue that allows the additional lashes to be bonded on to your own lashes.

I had my concerns with this process but the vanities of life got the best of me.

The total process took 1 hour, and I opted for the ‘normal’ looking lashes. As my eyelashes are naturally curved I got ‘C’ and ‘D’ shaped lashes. (A and B are ‘flatter looking)

My eyes were protected using a shield of some stuff, this was rather uncomfortable, but after I relaxed it got better.

The glue they use is very strong as was evident in my extension staying on for up to 4-6 weeks and also from the smell. After the application was done, my eyes started to tearup but it quickly clear off.

Thoughts

I would definitely do them again, I thought my lashes looked very natural, and my vision was not compromised, nor did I feel them on my eyelid. But it would be more for an occasion.

1. They were value for money, at £40 for one application of £60
2. Fairly low maintenance
3. Very realistic

Have you tried individual eyelash extension? :o)

Wednesday Hair Link

My sister in law is was a natural head until yesterday, when she messaged me asking for some relaxer tips. I quickly went ‘nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, don’t put relaxer in your hair.' and then did a double take…. Hang on there Ms; you have a head full of relaxed hair (hypocrite).

I thought to myself how annoying it is when others offer me opinions about how they think my hair direction should go.

I got a lot of ‘are you sure your hair is relaxed enough’, ‘Texlax is not the correct way of doing your hair’. There are so many naturals tearing down at people with relaxers and relaxed hair ladies tearing on naturals.

My sister in law had her reasons for picking up the relaxer and was merely asking me for advice on healthy hair care for relaxed hair….and really that is what this blog is all about healthy hair care. So I am now standing in the light and want to keep promoting healthy hair, at the end of the day it iwhat we all aspire. Whether it is relaxed, natural, keratin treated, coloured, locked and the rest of it!

In other news, my current hair status at the moment is long twists; I am enjoying wearing them in different styles!
