Review of July Goals....Setting of August Goals

July Review

1.     Drink 1 litre of water everyday

Verdict: Sort of passed – I did drink a litre or more a day, sometimes even 2 litres. What I have found is that it’s not difficult for me to drink while at work, but I need to drink my water when at home.

New Goal: Make sure I get a litre bottle for use over the weekend, and drink a litre over the weekend.

2.    Try 2 new protective styles

Verdict: Pass. I did do 2 new protective styles, as this has been incorporated in my challenge I will write up a post to review the styles I did.

New Goal: N/A

3.    Avoid buying any new products

Verdict: Hmmm....I would say I passed as the only products I purchased were to replace my staples that were finished or help me combat setbacks. I did get a shampoo which I didn’t need but this was a gift that I forced my mum to get for me! Hehehe, ok I failed

New Goal: Only buy products when one is finished (i.e. for replacement)

4.    M&S when needed and apply castor oil to scalp twice a week

Verdict:  I passed on the M&S when needed, my NG is happy with me, but as for the castor oil part, this would be a fail, first I run out of castor oil and have been on the grape-seed oil trip!

New Goal: n/a

5.    Do a 1 or 2 mile jog 3 times a week – (hopefully lose 1kg)

Verdict: Well....this is a big fail! Not one day did I jog, I did Pilates for 10 mins once, and swam on another day in between teaching my friend how to swim, but aside from that nothing else. Did I lose 1 kg well.... I didn’t even bother checking, and my scale battery stopped working!

New Goal: Do some exercise for 30 mins twice a week!

6.    Have one weekend social activity.

Verdict: Pass, pass, pass and pass! I had something going on, on every weekend in July
1.     Hosted my cousin and her boyfriend (6th)
2.    Went to a food festival (7th)
3.    Went to visit my boyfriend’s cousin’s baby (13th)
4.    Hosted my friend (14th)
5.    Went for a photo-shoot with the other half (20th)
6.    Hosted a friend of the bf (21st)
7.    Hosted my uncle and his wife (27th)
8.    Went to see the bf’s family (28th)

No free weekends at all!!!

August Goals

Mixed bag for July goals, in August I have set myself these goals
1. Make sure I get a litre bottle for use over the weekend, and drink a litre over the weekend.
2. Only buy products when one is finished (i.e. for replacement)
3. Do 30 mins twice a week of any exercise
4. Bake/Cook a new dish at least twice in the month
5. Stretch to 12 weeks
6. Continue with the protective styling challenge (post to follow)
7. Review my hairline (post to follow)

How did your July goals go, and what are you looking to do in August?

Wash day - 7 weeks post

1.     Pre-pooed with tresemme conditioner, coconut oil and grapeseed oil for 15 mins with a heat cap

2.    Detangled before washing hair

3.    Shampooed hair with ORS Aloe shampoo x2

4.    I then black tea rinses my hair, I used a spray bottle and targeted the scalp  ( this I find is the best way for me to tea rinse my hair)

5. Applied Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment, waited 5 mins and rinsed (amazing, softness was back)

6.  I added my deep conditioner ORS hair mayo (protein) added some peppermint oil for my scalp and grapseed oil and coconut oil. I sat with a heat cap for 30 mins and rinsed with cool water

7. I t shirt dried my hair for 30 mins.

8. After removing the t-shirt I applied Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave in Conditioner, and proceeded to detangle.

9. After detangling I m&s my hair with ORS carrot oil and sealed with sweet almond oil and braided it in 4 sections and continued to air dry.

Verdict: I am currently 7 weeks post relaxer and this week was a protein treatment my hair was lifeless in the past week and I knew it was calling for protein. Hair was soft as usual after my washes and I did not have a lot of breaking or shedding.

I have also got an instant weave and am loving it, as I go further into my stretch it will be extremely helpful. As my weave is full BSL, I think this is the length am after!!

ORS Carrot Oil Review

Product review: ORS Carrot Oil
Price: £4.39 (Boots) 170g – It can be bought cheaper from local Indian hair shops
Promise: Organic Root Stimulator Carrot Oil strengthens weak, damaged hair to prevent shedding and breaking, with an improved formula to give added shine.
Ingredients: Water(Aqua) , Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean) , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Sorbitol , Isopropyl Palmitate , PEG-25 Hydrogenated Castor Oil , Cetearyl Alcohol , Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate , Cetyl Esters , Lanolin , Carthamus Tinctorius Oil (Safflower) , Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil , Daucus Carota Sativa Seed Oil (Carrot) , Glyeryl Linoleate , Dimethicononl Methionine , Urtica Dioica Extract (Nettle) , Cholesterol , Dimethicone , Fragrance , Benzyl Salicylate , Cinnamic Alcohol , Citronellol , Coumarin , Eugenol , Geraniol , Hexyl Cinnamal , Hydroxycitronellal , d-Limonene , Linalool , DMDM Hydantoin , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , Carbomer , Methylparaben , Imidazolidinyl Urea , BHT , Triethanolamine , Propylparaben
My thoughts: Overall I like this product, I find it is not heavy on my hair and it contains a cream and the oils that seal moisturiser. The colour is a yellowy colour, the oil and cream mixtures tend to separate but are easily mixed. When I use it my hair feels moisturised, but if you are heavy handed it can leave your hair oily. I split my hair in 4 sections use a penny size amount or less and moisturise. I feel I don't even need to seal it with an oil at the end, as the oils in the product are sufficient.
I usually use it at night before bed and I find it doesn’t leave my hair greasy at all.
The smile is alright, it doesn’t have an amazing OMG smell but it doesn’t have a horrible smile either. The good thing is the smell doesn’t linger on in your hair after using it.
I think the price and quantity are reasonable. I got this product in March and this in July and I still have it (though I have not been using it religiously) I think I can get 2-3 months worth of daily usage at the least!
Another positive thing about the product is it does not have any mineral oils but lots of oils and safflower which is rich in ceramides.
The only thing I can fault this product for is I find it hard to get it out the bottle as the oil separates from the cream and it’s runs off my fingers. Not a deal breaker though.
I find my bone straight hair doesn't like it as much as my texlaxed hair, my bone straight hair looks a bit greasy while my texlaxed hair is loving it! With regards to stopping shedding hmmm...not sure if I can put my reduced shedding to this product or my tea rinses, I go for tea rinses based on ingredients. And breaking well with good M&S breakage is minimum so yes, it did reduce my breaking.
I would definitely repurchase this product
Rating: 4/5 - something tells me I am yet to cross parts with a moisturise my hair with love more!!

Wash day - 6 weeks post/Saran wrap/photo shoot

My wash day was done on the Friday night just in time for my Saturday morning photo-shoot with the other half (after dragging him by his tress – suitcase full of clothes change later, we managed to make it to the shoot, more on that later)
I was told to just make sure my hair was clean, but the thought of curling irons in my hair I think not!
My Friday night wash day went like this:

1.     Pre-pooed with tresemme confitioner, coconut oil and grapeseed oil for 15 mins with a heat cap

2.    Detangled before washing hair

3.    Shampooed hair with Tresemme Naturals low sulphate vibrantly smooth shampoo, once (I have now noticed that my hair does feel stripped when I use this shampoo, so won’t be repurchasing it after it finishes)

4.    I then co washed my hair with Tresemme Naturals Rich Moisturise Conditioner (I love the value of this product, but I like the results I get with Herbal Essence range or Aussie range, so won’t repurchase after its done, the other great thing about it is that its silicone free)

5.    I then black tea rinses my hair, I used the catch and rinse method so rinsed my hair a few times, I am thinking of going back to using my spray bottle, might try that next week

6.    At this point I would apply Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment, but I like the black tea to sit on my hair for a while. So I added my deep conditioner Vatika Deep Conditioner (this contains henna) and added some peppermint oil for my scalp and grapseed oil and coconut oil. I sat with a heat cap for 30 mins and rinsed

7.    After rinsing, I added Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment for 5 mins and rinsed it out with cool water

8.    I tee shirt dried my hair for 30 mins.

9.    After removing the t-shirt I applied Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave in Conditioner, and some carrot oil and Tresemme heat protectant and proceeded to detangle.

10. After detangling I roller set my hair. By this time it was 9pm, so I air dried my hair for 1 hour till 10pm and used my blow dryer to finish off drying my hair (I know blow dryers are the devil, but I hope I put enough heat protection on my hair) at about 11pm my hair was dry.

11.   I then saran wrapped my hair with kitchen cling film and put on my satin bonnet and hopped into bed

12.  Next morning take down, I loved the silkiness of my hair! Saran wrap is a winner!! Might do them more often!

Verdict: I am currently 6 weeks post relaxer and 6 months into my journey, I feel as though I am set into a pattern and I can even tell what my hair needs and how it reacts to products. At the start of my journey, word like ‘slip’ or statements like ‘listen to your hair, it is telling you what it needs’ were absolutely crazy to me! I tried to ‘listen’ to my hair, but seriously, we had not bonded yet to understand each other! Now I feel the bond, I can now ‘hear’ my hair talking to me (lol) it’s mostly tell me it wants moisturise!
Saran wrap hair results, wasn't too pleased

The photo-shoot was amazing, got pampered like Hollywood celebrities. One thing I am happy about is they didn’t get there hot curls on my hair, my hair was top notch, I just got my glam make-up and I was good to go. Check out some of my pictures

Have you ever tried saran wraps?

Product Review: Aussie Take The Heat 3 Minute Miracle Deep TreatmentConditioner

Price & Location: 3 Aussie products for £10 (Boots) 2 Aussie products for £7 (Superdrug) – Individually £4.99 (Also found at Tesco, Asda, Waitrose)

Promise:
Helps protect against heat damage. For heat damaged hair with Australian Jojoba Seed Oil.

All hail the one that cares and helps protect against heat. Long ago, Australian natives used jojoba seed oil to heal skin (they had gorgeous hair too). Its oil can be found in this blessed bottle. Use together with Take The Heat Shampoo & 3 Minute Miracle. Heat shall not wither your beauty. (You’ll look well hot, too)

Ingredients: Aqua, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Parfum, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol ,Disodium EDTA, Limonene, Linalool ,Sodium Hydroxide, Citronellol, Magnesium Nitrate ,Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone

Picture:

Product

Verdict: From my knowledge as far as ingredients go I would not fault it, though I know most people don’t like dimethicone (am guessing this is the cone that gives it the heat protection properties). I have also noticed it has sodium hydroxide, which is found in lye relaxer, not sure what this is doing in my conditioner.....Also jojoba is the strong selling point for the product but it’s the 13th ingredient!!! The string of ingredients confused me slightly (am still confused) I cannot comment on the other ingredients as I am no expert!

If bought as a deal the price is not bad, it works out at about £3.50 to £3.33 per bottle as opposed to £4.99.

The amount per bottle is 250ml, I find that really little, and especially as my hair grows I will need more of it!

The first time I used this product I used it as a deep conditioner (added oils and sat with it for 30 mins – I know it says 3 minutes!!), and OMG I had never felt my hair sooooooo soft, fluffy and manageable! I was like where have you been all my life!!! Nowadays I just use it as an instant conditioner, and the results are still as amazing.

I have since repurchased this product again, (on the deal!) it has slip, make hair easy to detangle and let’s just say I am in love with Aussie products. The smell is great, and the overall finished feel is also great!

Apart from being an instant conditioner, this product can be used as a co-wash, smoothing treatment (a sub for my Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment maybe.....)

I have not used it with any heating products yet, I will incorporate it on my relaxer day!

As far as conditioners go, I find it gives better results than the conditioner I use Tresemme Naturals Rich Moisturising Conditioner, but am a bit unsure about its ingredients..... 4/5, only because of the ingredients, but my hair feels great when using it :-)

Have you guys ever tried Aussie hair products, and what are your thoughts on the ingredients?

The time pressured wash day - 5 weeks post

So this weekend was very tight for me. Had something to do every single hour of the day! I thought, of skipping my wash day all together but as I went swimming Saturday morning, I really could not afford to miss a wash day.
Tired poor me washed my hair on the Saturday night, just before bed, the process was quick:
1.     Co washed with Tresemme Naturals Richly Moisturising Conditioner, once
2.    Shampooed with Tresemme Natural low sulphate vibrantly smooth shampoo, once – I thought I really needed to use shampoo because of the chlorine from the pool.
3.    I co washed again once more with Tresemme Naturals Richly Moisturising Conditioner
4.    I did an instant conditioner treatment with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Take The Heat Conditioner. I left it on my hair for 3 to 5 mins and rinsed it out with cold water.
5.    I t-shirt dried my hair for 15 mins, and sprayed Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave in Conditioner, and detangled.
6.    I then added some coconut oil on my hair and twisted my hair in 4 two strand twists and used flexirods to secure the ends, put on my satin bonnet on and jumped into bed, completely exhausted!

Verdict: I took down my hair in the morning, it had dried really well, though my hair felt really dry, before I M&S my hair I was watching hair v-logs on YouTube and I just discovered my moisturiser ORS Richly Moisturising Lotion has Petrolatum :| this might be a reason for my dry hair, not sure as its the 6th ingredient, and haven’t really been using it too long. So I kept away from it this time round and put a note to self to read through the ingredients better.
My new growth has started acting up! At 5 weeks!!! Am happy because it means my hair is growing, but scared because if it’s acting up, it’s probably not getting enough moisture (and missing a DC does not help!)! I used an old bottle of S Curl No drip spray for my roots and ORS Carrot Oil for my lengths – I might go back to using ORS Carrot Oil full time again as its both an oil and a creamy moisturising lotion. However, with S Curl, there are a lot of mixed emotions in the hair world, I thought it worked really well with my dry new grow, I will moisturise my new growth with it every day to keep it moisturised and less likely to break!
Next week I am off for a photo-shoot so my hair will be roller set on the Friday and Saran wrapped ready for Saturday morning (first self Saran wrap).

Hair Challenge

I have decided to have a section for self challenges which will vary from 3 to 6 months depending on what the issue I am having is.
Due my last relaxer, I had shedding, breaking and thin ends! I was not happy at all. I have decide to undertake 3 challenges
1.     Stretch for 1 more week, therefore relax after 13 weeks post – With my last relaxer, I did have a bit of an issue towards the end of my stretch. In order to tackle this I am planning on:
i.         Protective stlying
ii.       If I can stretch to 14 weeks even better, but at no point will I keep stretching if my hair is breaking

Review date: 5th September 2013 – this is when I will be 13 weeks post relaxer
2.    My second challenge is to nurse my ends and nape to the best state they can be in. To do this I will be:
                                         i.    M&S with coconut oil every nail, my ends and nape
ii.    Avoid having my ends on my clothes
iii.    Protective styling and tucking away the end
iv.    Trim ½ inch from my ends each relaxer

Starting point for nape and ends

Review date: 16th January 2013 – this will be on my hair one year anniversary; I will also be reviewing my efforts each relaxer time.

3.    Protective Styling challenge – It is so hard to style without heat and letting the hair just flow. I will be carrying out a protective styling challenge which I will review each month end, I should try a minimum of 2/3 new protective styles each calendar month
Review date: Month end, challenge is for 3 months and ends September month end

Moisturisers

I have been very vigilant with my M&S as this tends to be the pit fall with most hair journeys.
And no lies M&S is no easy task, I think I might have found the best one yet, moisturizing with my homemade leave in conditioner! I got this idea off @prettywitty77, my hair was dry and crunchy last week. I spritz’d the ‘moisturizer’ and let it soak in, it was easy, quick and got all my hair!! The morning after my hair felt so soft and not dry and crunchy, think this is a winner for me. This homemade moisturizer/leave in conditioner/ pH controler, doubles up, wait....triples up for everything, for the way I make my mixtures see pervious blog. homemade moisturizer

Wash Day - 4 weeks post

This wash day was done on the Sunday. On Saturday I was busy entertaining and Sunday afternoon had a food festival, so having 2 social activities is helping me achieve my July goals! However, I was so exhausted when it came to washing my hair!
This wash day I Shampooed my hair once with my Tresemme Naturals Vibrantly Smooth shampoo to finish it off, I kept my wash similar with last week just substituting my conditioner and final style. I am currently 4 weeks post. I also have started introducing ceramides in my regimen, the ones I have in my stash are Walnut oil (51%), grapeseed oil (73%) and sunflower oil (68%). I have read good stuff about Ceramides

1. I pre-pooed with grapeseed oil on my scalp and on my length, I used my heat cap for 30 mins.

2. I then shampooed my hair once using Tresemme Naturals Vibrantly Smooth Shampoo then co washed once with Tresemme Rich moisturising conditioner. I have been mixing shampoo and co-washes because I feel I still need a shampoo to cleanse my hair and scalp, then putting some moisture back with the conditioner (I hope I am right on this!!)

3. Coffee  rinse – Using 4 tsp of coffee in one litre pot I boiled the coffee and let it cool down and rinsed my hair with it once, this week I did not use the ‘rinse and catch method’.

4. I then applied PMSSDT for 5 mins and rinses off.

5. Deep conditioning –I used Vatika Deep Conditioner - added grapeseed oil.  I sat with my heat cap for 45 mins.

6. Cool water rinse – to finish off I rinsed my hair with cool water and then towel dried my hair.

7.  Leave in conditioner – For my leave in conditioner I used Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave in Conditioner and detangled my hair with a wide tooth comb, really like this leave in conditioner and I need to replace the bottle soon!

8. Styling – I detangled my hair and just let the lioness in me come out, it was big and puffy but soft. I did not have a lot of shedding and breakage, but I still had a bit, even the morning after when I was finger combing. Not sure if it’s the coffee that I am using, I might go back to my black tea rinses! I applied ORS oil rich moisturiser the morning after and sealed with grapeseed oil and bunned it for the next few days!

Verdict : I am really beginning to set into my own on my journey, my breaking and shedding is slightly under control and I am avoiding the temptation of shopping for every product I read about, and will stick to what I have come to know!
My hair feels very soft and fluffy. Grapeseed oil is a definite on for me going forward, though I cannot ‘see’ the benefits of it yet, but am sure I will see them!!

Hair Story...before the journey

I never really thought much about hair, when I was 10 my mum allowed me and my sister to have our first texturiser, before that it was hot combs from the stove (remember those) and thread braids, and not forgetting Dax on the scalp!

When I was in high school my hair blossomed (compared to those around me) everyone envied my hair, it was long (APL) and silky. I used to wash my hair weekly and use dark and lovely deep conditioner, but it was always Blue Magic on the scalp!!! But I used to stretch my hair not because I knew it, but because I was in boarding school and braids where low maintenance. I had owned a flat iron or curling irons, so I never used direct heat, and I always roller set my hair.

There were two girls that had longer hair than me in school and never really understood why, just put it down to genetics.

This was in 2002, I had gelled my hair to give it a 'wet' look, Gosh the crimes that were committed - APL and not even trying!!

I then moved from sunny Malawi to wintery England and my poor hair regimen really showed up! I did not understand why my hair was breaking, I put it out to the weather, so to stop dry hair I would ‘moisturise’ with my Blue Magic often, then washing my hair was with any product I could get my hairs on, my hair broke off, it was dry and it was continuing to break and get short and shorter. I have lived in the UK for 10 years, and I just came to accept black hair just doesn’t grow long; my neck length/shoulder length hair was all I could hope for. I still wondered how I had reached APL as a teenager.

Then one day I came across a YouTube video of hair journeys, then more and more, a whole world of black women with long hair opened up to me, I had no idea this was attainable, and even though I humoured myself and said let me try, I didn’t believe it was possible, until wow, the girl with neck length/shoulder length got to APL length in 5 months of starting her journey, this was when I realised this is REAL.

Mini Wash day ( 4 weeks post)

I have taken up the task of teaching my dearest friend who is like a sister to me how to swim!! So this got me thinking of how all the harsh chemicals in the pool will affect my hair. So yesterday after my swim I did a mini wash.

My plan of action was:
1.     Use a swimming cap
2.    Rinse out my hair after swimming
3.    Shampoo my hair with a no sulphate shampoos (L’Oreal brand) x1
4.    Co-washed my hair with Tresemme Naturals Rich Moisturising Conditioner x1
5.    Finished off with Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment
6.    Cold water rinse to close cuticles
7.    Spray leave in conditioner (Aussie Miracle Insurance), detangled, and bun to air dry
8.    M&S next morning with ORS Rich Moisturiser and sealed with castor oil, also oil scalp with castor oil, I can feel my new growth popping out
Result: My hair feels clean, and so so so soft, I can only thank the PMSSDT, because I have used my conditioner before the results were never this amazing, and the shampoo though I have only used this once am sure shampoo doesn’t make have soft and fluffy, does it??? The reason am also putting it down to PMSSDT is I used it at the end of my wash last Saturday and my hair was super soft, and this is the only new product I have been using. And also to mention, detangling was a dream and my shed hair and breakage was very minimal!!
To be honest I am so amazed with the results of the mini wash, and it was so quick! Really thinking of incorporate this in my regimen, a mid week mini wash, if am not too lazy!!
Schedule for my 3 hour wash is still on for Saturday!! Need to make sure I have a good deep condition and my dose of caffeine! However, this will work really well with my swimming sessions

Co-Washing....A winner!

I tried my first co wash about 2 weeks ago, when I was 2 weeks post relaxer, and I can honestly say that it’s a winner by me! I was a bit unsure about co washing, but my fears were unfounded. Before my hair journey I tried co-washing with a protein treatment ORS Replenshing pak, it left my hair coated!!
So from now on co-washing on a weekly basis and I will only shampoo once a month!
Reasons I love co-washing
1.     Moisturises my hair, my hair doesn’t feel stripped.
2.     I do not need to pre poo before my washes
3.     Soft soft hair!
Co-wash is a winner by me; now the hunt is on to see if Tresemme is the best co-wash product for me!

Review of June goals...Setting of July Goals

1.     1 litre of water a day – This went well I feel, though I still had missed day these did not exceed 5! So am proud of myself. Some days I even drunk 1.5l! This month I will up the dose and try to make sure I don't miss a day.
2.     Try out a flexirod set – Winner, though it did not come out as well, will have to try it out again.
3.     Weekly DC – passed!! This month I incorporated heat with my DC, which I am super proud about, I have even split my protein and moisturizing conditioner!
4.    M&S twice a week – passed! I M&S almost every other day, my hair has never felt healthier! I am planning on maintaining this!

So goals for July…..

1.     Drink 1 litre of water everyday.
2.     Try 2 new protective styles
3.     Avoid buying any new hair products :\
4.    M&S when needed and apply castor oil to scalp twice a week
5.  Do a 1 or 2 mile jog 3 times a week (hopefully lose 1 kg
6. Have one weekend social actuvity, I am bad at getting myself out the house and waste all my weekend time!
Hope your goals all went well this month

Wash day 3 weeks post

This wash day was done on the Saturday. Clarified my hair with ORS aloe shampoo and did a coffee rinse instead of black tea.

1. I pre-pooed with castor oil on my scalp and coconut oil on my length.

2. I used heat on it for 10 mins then detangled.

3. I then shampooed my hair once using ORS Aloe Shampoo, and co washed once with tresemme moisturising conditioner. I noticed my hair had brown water, I think it’s due to the henna based moisturising deep conditioner am using (Vatika deep conditioner) I think I will be washing my hair once with a shampoo to get all the dirty out and then second wash will be a co-wash, this however defeats the point of cutting out pre-pooing.

4. Coffee  rinse – Using 6 tsp of coffee in one litre pot I boiled the coffee and let it cool down and rinsed my hair with it 4 to 5 times, catching the run-off and rinsing again. This is my first coffee rinse that I tried.

5. Deep conditioning –I used ORS Hair Mayonnaise Conditioner and mixed it with 3 drops of peppermint and 3 drops of lavender essential oil, sweet almond oil and Argan oil.  I sat with my heat cap and using my blow dryer heated my hair for 30minutes.

6.  I rinsed off my hair and used PMSSDT for 5 mins and rinsed it off. Not sure if I should use this before or after my deep conditioner....

7. Cool water rinse – to finish off I rinsed my hair with cool water and then towel dried my hair.

8.  Leave in conditioner – For my leave in conditioner I used Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave in Conditioner and detangled my hair with a wide tooth comb

7. Styling – I roller Set my hair, I applied ORS oil rich moisturiser and coconut oil on my hair, sprayer tresemme heat protectant, and blow dried my hair dry.

1 product I am in need of:
1) Hooded dryer

A treatment my hair is in need of:
1) At the moment I don’t think my hair is in need of any treatment. My hair feels soft and full, I did notice that the hair on my crown is really unprocessed, like it’s still natural, I might have to fix this on my next touch up and always start the relaxing process from the middle of my hair.

What I did I like about this wash day

1)       I tried using coffee rinse - I really like coffee rinse, but I don't see any difference with black tea rinses, will try it again as I have lots of coffee, my shedding was still there but not that much, I had not combed my hair in a whole week, therefore I think it wasn’t too bad, had a bit of shedding and breakage, but not significant.
