Wash Day | 2 Weeks post

Hi lovely ladies!

My wash days have become ver similar and quite standard lately, they go a little like this

1. Pre -poo with coconut oil, which I am sooooo lovely for 30 mins

2. Shampoo with ORS HaiRepair Shampoo, to start off with I was not too keen on this poo, but am I liking it more and more

3. T-shirt dry my hair for 10 mins

4. DC with Aunt Jackies Conditioner for 30 mins with the heat cap

5. Rinse and t-shirt dry for 30 mins

6. Add leave in - my trusted Aussie Miracle hair insurance and detangle, and leave to air try.

This week I air dried in flat twists so had the cutest twist out. I am so in love with my weekend affair with my curls!

My hair has become so easy to manage lately and my regimen is very simplified.

How was your wash day?

Huge 'some what messy' Bun Tutorial

I did this bun a few weeks ago it started off from an old twist out and the end result was

Results of a few mistakes

this, due to a few mistakes. So I tried to replicate it see tutorial below.

What you will need

Hair pins, scarf of choice and an old stocking/tights

I started off with 4 twisted sections and using the old stocking I tied it around my head as below.

decide the size of you bun, mine will be very big so this is where the tight will stop

It will end up looking like this

The outsides of the bun will be here

Undo the twists and form a rolled perimeter around the stocking with hair clips

Roll a clip hair around the stocking to form your bun

The rest of the hair will form your bun around your initial shape

The end results

At this point if you have an old twist out the shape of the bun will be textured with your curl, my hair didn't take up the twists I had in.

Then you can accessorise with your favourite hair scarf or flower

Scarf accessory

The back

Or with a bigger brighter scarf

Another scarf

There you have it the mega huge some what messy bun if you have a while defined twist out.

Relaxer Day

I have been so so bad with my blog updates but wanted to let you all know I relaxed my hair at 16 weeks post yesterday.

My relaxer day was very similar to my last relaxer
1.dividing hair in mini twists
2. Applying an oil to my already relaxed hair
3. Mixing my relaxer with an oil to slow down processing time
4. Set timer to 13 and go go go. This relaxer, I only used 9 mins before I was ready to rinse off. It was so quick! I just had to stopp and get my hair rinsed and neutralised. Maybe I had been messing with my scalp all week...9 mins was short. But got all my relaxed in in 7 so yay me! I still go the results I was looking for. Have lots of texture and volume.

I wore my hair in a wavy twist out. It was big and undefined by the end of the day but enjoyed it regardless.

I didn't do a length check but think it's safe to say am still in APL land. Will do an official length check and ends check soon. For the first time ever I have not been bothered about the length of my hair. My last relaxer days it was all about the flat iron to see the length I retained. Hope this feeling lasts it's so freeing p.s I still want length!! Don't get me wrong.
